PALILULA IS BIG CONSTRUCTION SITE

Activity of management Palilula Municipality more and  more is achieved with direct contact with citizens on the ground. President of Municipality, Prof Dr Igor Novakovic with his associates visited the locations in settled area in Palilula where it began works on building of new infrastructure network. First he visited the village of Suvi Do, where is at the moment preparation of the ground for a street paving and construction of water supply and sewerage networks. Recently, in this place, because of  the state of collapse, removed the building of House of Culture, which was only free space for social activities and residents gathering. Svetislav Petrović, a member of Assembly in Palilula Municipality, who lives in Suvi Do, informed the President that in this settlement  of Palilula Municipality, according to the census from year 2002 it is registered 935 people with 321 households and that there is a citizens initiative to re-build a new object for the activities of local offices and other associations. According to the words of President Novakovic, Municipality will support every initiative and voluntary work of local people by purchasing of construction materials. After Suvi Do President visited location of local road Vukmanovo - Berbatovo where Nis Road Company began with works of paving of this road and then, with Milos Stojkovic a member of the Municipal Council, continued to tour with visit of Pasi poljana settlement. In this settlement at this time is construction in two streets: in one of the streets the works just started and finishing works are carried out on the paving in the street “Milana Milicevica” in length of 110 meters and width of 7 meters. Works in this street has began last year, but due to weather conditions several times it has suspended. The contracted value of works in the street, “Milana Milicevica” is 1,732,309.62 RSD. The works are financed from the budget of the City through the “Construction land development program for 2009”. The contractor was “MDGIT” DOO Nis and supervision of construction of works is doing Public enterprise “Directorate for City Land Development”.
